Last week, I ventured to GlassHalfFull in Carrboro for lunch, and I have to say, I am thrilled I did!  I know they are known for small plates and wine, but I was there for lunch, so I went for a sandwich instead.

So first, let's talk food.  I am generally not a fan of a fried chicken sandwich, but I thought I'd give it a go. The cabbage slaw on it sounded really good.    Wow!  I'm no food critic, but it was *amazing!*  We're talking, clean-your-plate and go back to this restaurant as often as possible amazing! The side was fried fingerling potatoes.  Fabulous!

Now, let's talk atmosphere.  I'd call it a hip wine bar/restaurant, I thought the atmosphere was perfect for meeting a friend and relaxing over lunch.  We ate inside, but I cannot wait to go back and eat on the patio.  It seemed like the place to be--with lots of fresh air, but plenty of shade.

Moving on to service.  Impeccable.   That's all there is to say about it.

The price was good, too.  For a little over $9.00, I had a fabulous lunch in a great atmosphere!   Let's face it, you could spend $7 or $8 for a run of the mill, mass-produced, fast food chicken sandwich and fries, or you could spend a couple of bucks extra and get a little midday panache.

Parking was easy and readily available.  I chose the side lot, although there is limited parking in front (the people of Carrboro would probably rather not experience me trying to back out onto Greensboro Street).

Thinking of giving it a try?  Here is what you need to know:

106 South Greensboro Street
Carrboro, NC

Lunch is served Monday-Friday from 11:30-2:30
Dinner is served Monday-Saturday from 5:00pm-10:00pm with late night after

I'll be going back, to sit on the patio and enjoy.  Maybe I'll even try something different.  No matter what, I'm sure to leave seeing the glass half full.
